Our DC Baby Shower

There are only a few people in this world that truly know me, and know what I like. This elite group consists of my mom, sisters, John, a couple of girls from high school that will always be a part of me, and Elspeth England. That's why I knew as soon as she tasked herself with throwing my baby shower that I was in good hands.

Els threw John and I a co-ed casino themed baby shower and invited guests to "buy-in" by bringing baby wipes instead of cash. Genious!

There was Texas Hold-em' poker and Black Jack, along with a fine display of yummy finger foods. The sugar cookies and pizza bagels were my favorite:)

The majority of attendies were dedicated DC friends, but we had a few out-of-towners that kindly made the trip to attend, and to them we are ever-so-grateful for the additonal efforts they took to make our shower special. These super-friends/family members include Joe and Heidi, Alan and Emily (Congrats on the Engagement by the way!!), Clissa England and Brenda. We love you guys.

Els, John and I can't thank you enough for all the effort and love you put into that shower. I know decorating and coordinating events is not your "cup of tea" but you do an amazing job when you do it. We love you and know Kaiya will love you too <3
